Steak Shawarma Nachos Recipe

Baked pita bread is topped with sliced steak, shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion and a drizzle of classic, sweet and savory shawarma sauce.

6 oz.The Original Steak-EZE® Revolutionary Fast BreakAway® Sirloin Beef Flat Steak, Non Marinated, 4 oz
1/4 tsp. Ea.Salt, Pepper
4 Ea.Pocket-style Pitas, split in half and cut into 24 wedges
3 Tbsp.Olive Oil
1/2 tsp.Cumin
2 CupsShredded Mozzarella Cheese
2 CupsLettuce, sliced
1 Ea.Tomato, diced
1/2 CupRed onion, chopped
1/3 CupSweetened Condensed Milk
2 Tbsp.Water
2 Tbsp. White Vinegar
1/2 tsp. Ea. Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Dried Oregano Salt




Step 1: Preheat a flat top grill to 350°F.

Step 2: Place Sirloin Beef Steak on the flat top grill.

Step 3: After the steak has cooked through about half its thickness, flip the portion once.

Step 4: As the meat slices begin to cook, separate them with a spatula and season with salt and pepper. The beef should have an even brown appearance when completely cooked.

Step 5: Remove beef from the grill and set aside. Let it cool.

Step 6: Toss the pita wedges with olive oil. Lay flat on a two-rimmed baking sheet and sprinkle with cumin, salt and pepper.

Step 7: Bake in a 375°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand for 10 minutes or until crisp.

Step 8: Increase the oven temperature to 400°F.
