Bacon Bao BLT Recipe

Enjoy this crispy, smokey pocket of joy. A soft-steamed bao bun is filled with sliced cucumbers, frisee lettuce and double-glazed Wright® Brand Steak Cut Bacon, then topped with yellow tomato-carrot-radish slaw and garnished with toasted sesame seeds.

3 StripsWright® Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Extra Extra Thick Sliced Steak Cut Bacon
6 pcs.Bao Buns
24 pcs.Mini Cucumber Slices, 1/32”
3 to 6 oz.Oven Roasted Tomatoes & Hoisin Blend (15:85)
¼ cupFrisee Lettuce
3 oz.Yellow Tomato, Carrot, Radish Slaw
garnishToasted Sesame Seeds
Directions

Step 1 - Cook the Wright® Brand Steak Cut Bacon according to your preferred BOH Methodology.  When the bacon is about 95% cooked, glaze the bacon twice. Reserve hot.

Step 2 - Steam bao buns and pre-place the thinly sliced cucumbers on the front bottom edge of the bun. Add a pinch of the frisee lettuce to the back.

Step 3 - Add a half strip of the double-glazed Wright® Brand Steak Cut bacon in back.

Step 4 - Top with 1/3 oz. of the yellow tomato-carrot-radish slaw.

Step 5 - Garnish with toasted sesame seeds. And for a spicy version, add a drizzle of chili sauce.
