Classic BLT Recipe

This is as classic as classic gets; the superlative BLT. This double-stacked sandwich features Wright® Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Extra Thick Sliced Bacon paired with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and bold garlic mayo on toasted sourdough bread. It’s so big you may need a knife and fork!

Ingredients

6 slicesWright® Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Extra Thick Sliced Bacon
3 ea.Slices Sourdough Boule, Toasted
1 tbsp.Garlic Mayo (Sub-Recipe)
1/2 oz.Butter Lettuce
1/2 oz.Tomato, Sliced

Garlic Mayo

Yield: 1 Cup

AMOUNTMAIN INGREDIENTS
1 CupMayonnaise
1 tsp.Cracked Black Pepper
1 Tbsp.Granulated Garlic
Directions

Step 1: Preheat a convection oven to 400°F.

Step 2: Place bacon in single layer on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Cook bacon for 15-30 minutes or until desired crispiness is achieved, flipping halfway through. Transfer to paper towel-lined plate and set aside.

Step 3: Spread garlic mayo on bottom slice of toasted bread, followed by lettuce, tomato and three slices of bacon.

Step 4: Coat both sides of a slice of toast with garlic mayo and add on top of bacon slices. 

Step 5: Add next layer of sandwich ingredients: lettuce, tomato and three bacon slices.

Step 6: Spread garlic mayo on one side of top slice of toasted bread and use to close sandwich. Serve immediately.

Step 1: Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir until well combined. 

Step 2: Cover and hold under refrigeration until used in larger recipe.
