Espresso Candied Cut Bacon

5 Oz. | Light Brown Sugar |
1 tsp. | Ground Chili Powder |
1 Tbsp | Instant Expresso Coffee Powder |
1 tsp. | Kosher Salt |
8 Ea. | Wright® Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Steak Cut Bacon |
Step 1: Place two glazed apple fritters onto a clean worksurface upside down, with bottom facing upward
Step 2: Lay two strips of espresso candied Wright® Brand Steak Cut Bacon lengthwise onto one piece of the glazed apple fritter.
Step 3: Place fried egg on top of the espresso candied Wright® Brand Steak Cut Bacon.
Step 4: Lay both slices of cheddar cheese on top of the fried egg.
Step 5: Place the remaining glazed apple fritter on top of sandwich to close.
Step 6: Slice sandwich on a bias.
Step 7: Serve as needed.
Espresso Candied Cut Bacon
Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 375° F.
Step 2: Place brown sugar, chili powder, espresso, and salt into a mixing bowl.
Step 3: Mix all ingredients together and set aside.
Step 4: Pre-line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
Step 5: Place a wire rack on top of parchment paper.
Step 6: Arrange the bacon in a single layer on the wire rack.
Step 7: Place in oven and cook for approximately 15 minutes on each side or golden brown.
Step 8: Remove from oven and sprinkle each slice of bacon with brown sugar espresso rub.
Step 9: Place back into oven and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
Step 10: Remove bacon once again and sprinkle each slice with more brown sugar espresso rub.
Step 11: Place back into oven for 5 minutes.
Step 12: Remove from wire rack and serve as needed.
