Grilled Bacon & Kimcheeze Toastie Recipe

Elevate your grilled cheese game with a Kimcheeze Toastie featuring Wright® Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Thick Sliced Bacon on thick sliced toasted bread with kimchee aioli/mayo, double American cheese inside and crispy cheddar outside served with seasoned fries.

4 oz.

Potato Fries, seasoned, fried (commercially Available)

6 oz.

Heavy Mayonnaise, prepared

5 oz.

Kimchi, prepared (commercially prepared)

1 tsp.

Fresh Garlic Clove, pld, minced

1 tsp.

Vinegar, rice, wine

2 tsp.

White Sugar, granulated

½ tsp.

Sesame Oil, toasted

ALTERNATIVE PRODUCTS:

Directions

Step 1: Place mayonnaise, Kimchi, minced garlic clove, vinegar, sugar, and sesame oil into a food processor and process until smooth.

Step 2: Pre-heat a flat-top grill.

Step 3: Place all four slices of Wright® Brand Thick Sliced Bacon onto the flat-top grill and allow to sear.

Step 4: Next, place shredded cheddar cheese onto the flat top next to the Wright® Brand Thick Sliced Bacon.

Step 5: Place one slice of thick cut white bread onto a clean surface and spread 2oz. kimchi aioli over entire slice.

Step 6: Place the prepared slice of bread, kimchi aioli side up, on top of the bed of shredded cheese on the flat top.

Step 7: Place one slice of cheese on top of the prepared toast on top of the kimchi aioli.

Step 8: Using your tongs, fold slices of Wright® Brand Thick Sliced Bacon in half and place them on top of the sliced cheese.

Step 9: Top Wright® Brand Thick Sliced Bacon with the other slice of cheese.

Step 10: Place another slice of thick sliced white bread onto a clean work surface and spread more kimchi aioli across the entire slice and place it on top of the sandwich to close.

Step 11: Using a spatula, flip entire sandwich over and allow the other side of the sandwich to toast.

Step 12: Remove from flat-top grill.

Step 13: Serve as needed with seasoned fries.

 

ALTERNATIVE COOKING METHODSBake:

1.     Pre-heat oven to 375˚F.

2.     Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

3.     Lay a wire rack on top of the parchment paper.

4.     Place bacon in a line across the lined sheet tray and cook for approximately 10 to 15 minutes or until it's reached your desired level of crispiness. Make sure to check on it after about 10 minutes as some ovens cook faster.

5.     Remove from oven and serve as needed.
