Wiz Wit’ Cheesesteak Recipe

The classic, late night, bright lights favorite that’s a treat anytime, anyplace. Thinly sliced beef, perfectly seasoned, with sweet, grilled onions and gooey liquid cheese, delivered in a long Italian roll, along with a healthy stack of napkins.

 Prep Time: 2 min.
     Cook Time: 10 min.

AmountMain Ingredients
4 oz.Original Philly® Beef Sandwich Slices, 4 oz.
2 Tbsp.Onion, sliced
1 CupLiquid cheese, (aka "wiz")
1 Ea.Long Italian roll



Step 1: Place frozen portion of beef on a preheated flat grill (350°F).

Step 2: After the portion has cooked through about half its thickness, flip the portion once.

Step 3: As the meat slices begin to cook, separate them with a spatula. Beef should have an evenly brown appearance when completely cooked.

Step 4: Remove beef from the grill.

Step 5: Sauté sliced onion until tender. Return beef to the grill and mix with onions. Use spatula to arrange meat mixture in a row approximately the length of the roll.

Step 6: Place an open-faced roll over the meat and, using a spatula, turn sandwich so it’s open facing up.

Step 7: Pour heated liquid cheese (aka “wiz”) generously over the length of the sandwich.
