1 CupWhole Milk
1/4 CupWater, Room-Temperature
2 Tbsp.Canola Oil

Agave Butter

Yield: 4 OZ.

Strawberry & Banana Syrup

Yield: 12 OZ.

5 Oz.Banana, Fresh, Peeled, Sliced, 1/4 Inch
6 Oz.Strawberries, Fresh, Sliced 1/4 Inch
2 Tbsp.Light Brown Suger, Prepared
Directions

Step 1.  Stack and place johnny cakes onto serving dish.

Step 2.  Place a scoop of agave butter on top of johnny cakes.

Step 3.  Top with strawberry and banana syrup.

Step 4.  Place Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Pork Sausage Patties next to prepared johnny cakes.

Step 5.  Serve as needed.

Alternative Cooking Method For: Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Pork Sausage Patties, 3.75 Inch, 1.5 oz 

Convection:  For best results cook sausage from frozen state. Due to variances in cooking equipment, time and/or temperature may need adjustment. Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook 12-14 minutes, turning halfway through cooking time.

Grill: For best results cook sausage from frozen state. Due to variances in cooking equipment, time and/or temperature may need adjustment. Preheat grill to 350°F. Cook 12-14 minutes, turning occasionally.

Sub-Recipes Directions

Johnny Cakes

Step 1.  Mix the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

Step 2. Stir in the beaten eggs, milk and water.

Step 3.  Mix until you have a thick batter.

Step 4.  Let the batter rest for 5 minutes to hydrate the dry ingredients.

Step 5.  Heat a bit of oil in a large pan to medium heat.

Step 6.  Add 1/4 cup johnny cake batter to the pan and cook 5 minutes per side, or until they are nicely browned.

Step 7.  Remove the johnny cakes from the pan and repeat until all the batter is used up.

Step 8.  Add more oil to the pan as needed.

Step 9.  Serve as needed.

Agave Butter

Step 1.  Place all ingredients into a food processor.

Step 2.  Process until smooth.

Step 3.  Remove from food processor and serve as needed.

Strawberry & Banana Syrup

Step 1.  Melt butter in a pot over medium heat; when it foams, add bananas, strawberries, and brown sugar.

Step 2.  Stir, and cook until sugar has melted into butter, about 5 minutes.

Step 3.  Continue to cook until fruit is soft.

Step 4.  Remove from pot and serve as needed.
