Irish Nachos Recipe

This Irish Nachos recipe is a unique twist on traditional nachos featuring Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage and Wright® Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Thick Sliced Bacon with crispy potato slices with cheddar cheese sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, sour cream, and fresh sliced scallions.

Potatoes, Traditional Homestead, Slcd (Commercially Available)

Onions, Caramelized, Dcd (Commercially Available)

Sauce, Cheese, Cheddar (Commercially Available)

2 Oz

Cheese, Cheddar, Sharp, Shredded

2 Oz

Wright® Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Thick Sliced Bacon, Ckd, Chpd

3 Oz

Cream, Sour, Prepared

1 Oz

Onion, Scallion, Green, Slcd, Thin

¼ tsp.

Pepper, Black, Cracked

Directions

Step 1: Preheat the grill to medium heat, about 400 degrees °F.

Step 2: Place the Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage on the grill and cook for 4-6 minutes.

Step 3: Turn the Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage over and cook for another 4-6 minutes.

Step 4: Flip the Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage one last time, and grill for a final 3-4 minutes, or until the Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage is cooked through and reach an internal temperature of degrees °F.

Step 5: Remove from grill and slice sausage into ¼ inch slice pieces and reserve. 

Step 6: Using a deep fryer, fry the potatoes until crispy.

Step 7: Remove from fryer and place the crispy fried potatoes onto a large platter or serving dish.

Step 8: Top with sliced Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage and caramelized onions.

Step 9: Evenly pour the cheddar cheese sauce over entire dish and sprinkle with shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

Step 10: Preheat oven or broiler to 500 degrees °F.

Step 11: Place Irish nachos into oven or broiler until the shredded cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Step 12: Top with Wright® Brand Naturally Hickory Smoked Thick Sliced Bacon, sour cream, sliced scallions and cracked black pepper.

Step 13: Serve as needed.

ALTERNATIVE COOKING METHODSHillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage

Bake: Heat oven to 375°F. Place sausage in pan. Add 1/4" water to pan. Cover with foil. Heat 15-18 minutes until sausage reaches internal temperature of 165°F.

Roller Grill: Roller Grill Preheat Roller Grill on high for 15 minutes. Turn to medium heat. Heat 14-16 minutes until sausage reaches internal temperature of 165°F. Turn roller grill down to low/hold setting. Hold product at 140°F or higher for up to 4 hours.
