Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles Recipe

Bubble Waffle 

SERVING SIZE: 4 Servings.

AMOUNTMAIN INGREDIENTS
1 ½ CupsFlour, All Purpose
¾ CupSugar, Granulated
2 tsp.Starch, Cornstarch
2 tsp.Powder, Baking
½ tsp.Salt, Kosher
2 Ea.Eggs, Fresh, Whole, Large
½ CupMilk, Whole
½ CupWater, Room-temp
3 TbspOil, Vegetable
1 tsp.Extract, Vanilla
As NeededSpray, Pan Spray

 

Directions

Step 1: Pre-heat Deep-fryer at 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Cook product from frozen.

Step 3: Place chicken in fryer basket and lower into deep fryer.

Step 4: Allow to fry for approximately 5 - 7 minutes and internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F.

Step 5: Remove from Fryer and hold.

Step 6: Reserve

To assemble:

Step 1: Place prepared bubble waffle onto a clean serving plate.

Step 2: Place the Tyson® Honey Stung® Hot Honey Chicken Tenderloins on top of the bubble waffle.

Step 3: Drizzle the entire dish with hot honey.

Step 4: Dust the entire dish with powdered sugar.

Step 5: Serve as needed with wild berry compote and some fresh berries.

Sub Recipe Directions

Bubble Waffle 

Step 1: Place 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons cornstarch, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt in a large bowl and whisk to combine.

Step 2: Lightly beat 2 large eggs in a medium bowl. Add 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup water, 3 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and whisk to combine.

Step 3: Pour into the flour mixture and whisk until smooth and no streaks of flour remain.

Step 4: Heat the bubble waffle maker according to the manufacturer instructions.

Step 5: Spray both sides of the waffle maker with cooking spray.

Step 6: Pour the batter into the waffle maker, filling each well all the way.

Step 7: Cook according to the manufacturer's instructions, or for 2 minutes, then flip the waffle maker over and cook until golden-brown all over, 2 minutes more.

Step 8: Transfer cooked waffles to a baking sheet and keep warm in the oven.

Step 9: Serve as needed.
