Donut Breakfast Sandwich Recipe

What’s your morning crave? Sweet? Savory? Here’s the best of all things breakfast. This premium breakfast sandwich takes an open-sliced glazed donut (you heard that right!) layered with scrambled eggs and either Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Pork Sausage Patties or Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Bacon Strips. Or heck, use both of ‘em. It’s Sweetsavor-isfaction!

Ingredients

SERVING SIZE: 1 Serving

1 ea.

Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Pork Sausage Patties

1 ea.

Glazed donuts

2 ea.

Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Hickory Smoked Regular Bacon Slices, optional

1 ea.

Egg

2 ea.

American Cheese slices

 

Directions

Step 1: Cook the breakfast sausage patties in a frying pan over medium heat, until fully cooked, according to package directions.

  • Note: Three Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Bacon Strips per sandwich can be used as a substitute for the sausage patty.

Step 2:  Remove the sausage patties to a paper towel-lined plate and use the same pan to cook your egg.

Step 3: Slice the donuts in half, across the middle. Layer the egg, sausage, and cheese on the bottom half of the donut. Place the top half of the donut on the sandwich and serve warm.
