Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak Recipe

Toasted hoagie roll filled with thinly sliced marinated chicken covered in sautéed onion, green peppers and celery, with a blue cheese mayo. Finished with a melted American cheese sauce.

1 1⁄4 CupsOriginal Philly® Chicken Sandwich Slices
3 TBSP.Buffalo Sauce 
1⁄4  CupWhite Onion 
1⁄4  CUPGreen Pepper
1⁄4  CUPCelery Stalk 
1 EA.Hoagie Roll 
3 TBSP.Blue Cheese Mayo
1⁄4  CUPAmerican Cheese Sauce 

 

Directions

Step 1 - Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onion, green peppers and celery then sauté until they are soft and lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 2 - Preheat the broiler. Slice the hoagie roll in half and spread with butter. Place the two halves on a baking sheet. Broil for 1-2 minutes, or until lightly toasted.

Step 3 - Mix mayo with blue cheese crumbles. Mix well to combine and set aside.

Step 4 - Preheat flat grill to 350°F. Place frozen portion of chicken on grill. After the portion has cooked through about half its thickness, approximately 1-2 minutes, flip the portion once. As the meat slices begin to cook, separate them with a spatula and add buffalo sauce. Continue to cook the meat another 1-3 minutes. Meat should have firm, cooked appearance

Step 5 - Spread the blue cheese mayo on the bottom half of the hoagie roll. Layer the chicken on top of the mayo. Top the chicken with the sautéed onion, green peppers and celery then smoother with American cheese sauce. Place the and place the hoagie roll under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 6 - To serve, cut the sandwich in half and serve with more bleu cheese mayo, sliced carrots and celery. "
