Apple & Onions slaw, Steak Cut Bacon Sandwich with Pimento Cheese and apple slaw on Fresh sliced and toasted farmhouse style bread

Ingredients

SERVES: 10

20 ea.

Farmhouse style Bread – sliced ½” and toasted

20 ea.

Wright® Brand Steak Cut Bacon ½” slice, #10000043824

2 oz

Pimento Cheese Spread

3 lbs.

Cheddar, shredded

¾ cu

Red Peppers, canned diced

1 cu

Mayo

2 oz

Apple Slaw

1 lb. 4 oz

Green Apple, julienne

1 tsp

Lemon Juice

1 Tb

Chive

 

 

Directions
  1. Pimento Cheese – mix all and hold cold for service
  2. Apple Slaw – julienne apples with a mandolin or by hand, mix with lemon juice and chives. Hold cold for cold service
  3. Cook bacon in a 375F convection oven on a sheet tray with a rack until golden brown and crispy. Cut bacon in half for service. ***Check sheet tray during cooking, fat can accumulate and may needed to be discarded.

 

To Build Sandwich:
  1. Spread 2Tbsp Pimento Cheese on the face of the top and bottom bun
  2. Place 4 half slices of Steak cut bacon on bottom bun
  3. Top with Apple Slaw
  4. Finish with top bun
