Seasoned Beef & Brussels Bowl Recipe

Crispy charred Brussels sprouts, rich and savory Original Philly® Fully Cooked Seasoned Sliced Beef, roasted acorn squash, toasted pecans and sweet black currants. Served with a maple-pepper sauce for a bold sweet-and-savory flavor, bringing the sliced beef and seasonal vegetables together for a signature dish.

2 Oz.Maple-Pepper Sauce (Sub Recipe)

Maple-Pepper Sauce

YIELD: 32 Oz.

AMOUNTSUB-RECIPE INGREDIENTS
3 Tbsp.Butter, Unsalted
2 Tbsp.Fresh Onion Shallot, Minced
1 Tbsp.Fresh Garlic Clove, Minced
2 CupsMaple Syrup, Prepared
3 Tbsp.Dijon Mustard, Prepared
3 Tbsp.Apple Cider Vinegar
2 Tbsp.Soy Sauce, Prepared
2 Tbsp.Black Pepper, Cracked
1 tsp.Kosher Salt
Directions

Step 1: Place sliced beef into steamer at 210 degrees and cook until it reaches 165°F as measured by the use of a food thermometer.

Step 2: Place a serving bowl onto a clean work surface.

Step 3: In compartments, place the roasted Brussels sprouts, acorn squash, sliced beef, pecans and currants into the serving bowl.

Step 4: Pour the maple-pepper sauce into a ramekin and place into the serving bowl.

Maple-Pepper Sauce

Step 1: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

Step 2: Add shallots and cook 2–3 minutes until softened.

Step 3: Add garlic and cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4: Stir in maple syrup, Dijon mustard, vinegar and soy sauce and bring to a gentle simmer.

Step 5: Add cracked black pepper and salt and simmer 8–12 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 6: Remove from heat and serve as needed.
