2 TBSP. | Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Sausage Gravy Concentrate, Thawed |
1/2 TSP. | Fresh Chives, Chopped |
Step 1: Remove the pouch of sausage gravy concentrate and the desired amount of sausage patties from the freezer to defrost in a refrigerator overnight.
Step 2: Place the frozen biscuit(s) on a parchment paper lined baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and bake according to the manufacturer’s instructions for biscuits.
Step 3: While biscuits cook, prepare the sausage gravy by emptying the fully thawed pouch and 16 oz. of water into a 4 qt. sauce pot and stir until well blended. Warm gravy over medium heat until an internal temperature of 170°F is reached.
Step 4: Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add thawed sausage patty and cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and an internal temperature of 160°F is reached.
Step 5: To plate, split the biscuit in half and place on service dish. Add the sausage patty, gravy and chives to bottom half of biscuit.
Step 6: Finish with top half of biscuit and serve immediately.
