Hillshire Farm® Chicken Apple Sausage with slices of fresh mozzarella, basil leaves, tomato slices, fresh eggs, smashed avocado and drizzled with aged balsamic syrup.
SERVES: 2-3
3-4 oz | Hillshire Farm® Chicken Apple Sausage, grilled and carved on the ½” bias |
1 each | Multigrain flatbread crust 10” |
5 oz | Avocado, fresh, smashed and seasoned |
9 slices | Roma tomatoes, slices 1/3” thick |
6 slices | Mozzarella, fresh, slices ¼” thick |
2 Tbsp | Basil leaves, fresh, torn |
2 | Eggs |
1 Tbsp | Balsamic syrup |
Step 1
Preheat an oven to 400°.
Step 2
Grill Chicken Apple Sausage, then slice in ½" pieces and reserve warm.
Step 3
Top the multigrain flatbread with the fresh slices of mozzarella cheese, carved chicken apple sausage and crack the 2 eggs onto the flatbread (try not to bust that yolk). Place in the oven for 7-10 minutes until eggs are cooked to an overeasy-like state and the flatbread is crisp.
Step 4
Once the cheese is melted and eggs are cooked, remove from the oven and generously deposit the smashed avocado over the flatbread.
Step 5
Add the basil leaves and the tomatoes.
Step 6
Drizzle the whole flatbread with balsamic syrup and sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if desired.
