Sausage & Ricotta Pizza Recipe

Elevate your menu with this delicious pizza recipe featuring Hillshire Farm® Old World Specialties® Italian-Style Sausage on a rustic pizza crust with creamy ricotta cheese and fresh sliced basil ribbons, served with a dusting of Italian seasoning.

Ingredients

AMOUNTMAIN INGREDIENTS
1 ea.16" Rustic Par-Baked Pizza Crust, Premade
6 oz.Chunky Style Pizza Sauce, Prepared
6 oz.Hillshire Farm® Old World Specialties® Italian-Style Sausage
16 ea.Ricotta Cheese, 1 Oz. Scoop
2 tbsp.Fresh Basil Leaf, Chiffonade Sliced
2 tsp.Italian Herb Seasoning, Crushed
Directions

Step 1: Remove pizza dough from freezer and slack in cooler prior to use.

Step 2: Preheat oven to 450°F.

Step 3: Remove pizza dough from cooler and place onto a pizza screen.

Step 4: Spread chunky tomato sauce evenly over the center of the crust. 

Step 5: Place the sausage evenly over top of pizza.

Step 6: Place scoops of ricotta cheese across top of pizza, keeping scoops consistently spaced and covering entire surface.

Step 7: Place prepared pizza into the preheated oven. Cook for approximately 4 - 6 minutes or until cheese is melted and dough is cooked thoroughly. Remove from oven.

Step 8: Sprinkle basil ribbons and Italian seasoning over entire pizza as garnish. Slice and serve immediately or hold warm for later service.
