Hot Honey Citrus Crunch Salad Recipe

This recipe pairs the craveable sweet heat of Tyson® Honey Stung® Breaded Hot Honey Jumbo Chicken Wings with a refreshing citrus avocado salad that's bursting with juicy orange segments, creamy avocado, crisp greens, and a zesty lime vinaigrette.

4 pc.Tyson® Honey Stung® Fully Cooked Breaded Hot Honey Chicken Wings
1/2 ea.Fresh Orange, Segmented
1/8 cupCarrot, Julliened
1/8 cupRed Cabbage, Shredded
1/2 ea.Avocado, Pitted and Sliced
2 oz.Romaine, Chopped
1 oz.Kale, Chopped
2 oz.Lime Vinaigrette (Sub-Recipe)

Lime Vinaigrette

YIELD: 2 CUPS

AMOUNTSUB-RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1/3 cupFresh Lime Juice
2 tbsp.Honey
1 cupOlive Oil
1 tbsp.Dijon Mustard
1/8 cupShallot, Diced
1 tsp.Salt
1 tsp.Cracked Black Pepper
Directions

Step 1: Cook wings from frozen in fryer at 350°F for 6-9 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Hold hot for service.

Step 2: Cut orange, lettuce and vegetables according to the ingredient list. 

Step 3: In a medium mixing bowl, toss romaine, kale, cabbage, and carrot together. Lightly dress with lime vinaigrette and plate in the bottom of a shallow-but-wide service bowl.

Step 4: Place avocado slices and citrus segments scattered over the top of salad.

Step 5: Plate wings off set to one side of salad. Serve immediately.

Lime Vinaigrette

Step 1: Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl or combine in a deli container and shake well until emulsified.

Step 2: *Dressing will separate during storage. Whisk together or shake container prior to use.
