Detroit Deep Dish Cupping Pepperoni Pizza Recipe

A thick, airy Detroit‑style crust lined with parmesan and provolone cheese, topped with mozzarella cheese, racing‑stripe pizza sauce, and a generous layer of Hillshire Farm® Cupping Pepperoni that crisps into flavorful cups as it bakes. A rich, indulgent square‑cut pizza with bold, savory appeal.

Ingredients

YIELD: 1 Pizza 

AMOUNTMAIN INGREDIENTS
1 cupParmesan Cheese, Shredded
9 ea.Provolone Cheese, Sliced Thin
1 ea.Frozen Pizza Dough Ball, 24 Oz.
8 oz.Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
6 oz.Pizza Sauce, Prepared
2 cupsHillshire Farm® Cupping Pepperoni
Directions

Step 1: Evenly space frozen 24 oz. dough balls in an oiled, covered container. 

Step 2: Thaw dough balls overnight in a cooler or at room temperature (3-5 hours) until workable.

Step 3: Preheat deck oven to 475°F.

Step 4: Spray a 13x9 Detroit-style pizza pan with non-stick spray and set aside.

Step 5: Sprinkle shredded parmesan cheese evenly all over bottom of the pizza pan.

Step 6: Lay 9 thinly sliced pieces of provolone cheese on top of parmesan cheese making sure the edges of cheese are folded up into walls of pizza pan.

Step 7: Take cold dough and press out onto a stainless steel table.

Step 8: Stretch and press out dough to be a larger diameter than the Detroit-style pizza pan. 

Step 9: Place dough into pizza pan and stretch out to fit properly. 

Step 10: Cover the entire surface of the dough with mozzarella cheese.

Step 11: Drizzle pizza sauce over cheese in three rows.

Step 12: Shingle Hillshire Farm® Cupping Pepperoni tightly over top of cheese and sauce.

Step 13: Place pizza in deck oven for approximately 15-20 minutes. 

Step 14: Remove from oven and immediately place pizza onto a cutting board.

Step 15: Cut pizza into 8 equal square slices and serve as needed.
