Classic Cheesesteak Recipe

Featuring The Original Steak-EZE® BreakAway® Beef Steak, with griddled onions and creamy cheese sauce on a sliced hoagie roll.

Ingredients

YIELD: 6-8 Servings

1 TbspCanola Oil
1 Ea.The Original Steak-EZE® BreakAway® Beef Steak, Marinated, 4 oz
1/4 tsp.Kosher Salt
1/8 tsp.Ground Black Pepper
2 Oz.Yellow Onions - Sliced Thin
3 Oz.Yellow Cheese Sauce (Comercially Available)
1 Ea.Hoagie - Split

 

Directions

Step 1: Preheat a flat top grill to 350°F.

Step 2: Place oil and frozen The Original Steak-EZE® BreakAway® Beef Steak frozen onto the preheated flat top grill.

Step 3: After the portion has cooked through about half its thickness, flip the portion once.

Step 4: As the meat slices begin to cook, separate them with a spatula and add salt and pepper.

Step 5: Cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F as measured using a meat thermometer.

Step 6: Place the sliced onions on to the flat top and allow to cook until translucent.

Step 7: Using a spatula, combine the The Original Steak-EZE® BreakAway® Beef Steak and onions together.

Step 8: Top with cheese sauce and combine.

Step 9: Split the hoagie bun and place it on top of the prepared cheesesteak and scoop onto the hoagie bun and serve as needed.
