Chicken Sausage & Pear Toast Recipe

Toasted brioche topped with crispy Jimmy Dean® Chicken Breakfast Sausage, clouds of whipped ricotta and thin-sliced Bartlett pears. Finished with toasted walnuts and a drizzle of burnt honey for a refined sweet-savory breakfast that feels indulgent yet effortless.

1 Ea.Brioche Bread, Toasted
2 Oz.Ricotta Cheese, Whipped
2 Ea.Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked All Natural Chicken Sausage Patties
5 Slices Ea.Fresh Bartlett Pear, Sliced Thin
1 Tbsp.Burnt Honey (Sub Recipe)
1 Tbsp.Walnuts, Crushed, Toasted

Burnt Honey

YIELD: 1 Cup

AMOUNTSUB-RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 CupHoney, Prepared
1/4 CupHot Water
1 tsp.Apple Cider Vinegar, Prepared
1/4 tsp.Kosher Salt
Directions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F.

Step 2: From frozen state, place chicken sausage patties onto a parchment lined sheet pan and cook for approx. 12-14 minutes, turning halfway through heating time.

Step 3: Remove chicken sausage patties from oven and reserve.

Step 4: Place brioche toast onto a clean worksurface and top with whipped ricotta.

Step 5: Shingle the chicken sausage patties on top of the whipped ricotta.

Step 6: Top chicken sausage patties with sliced Bartlett pears.

Step 7: Drizzle the entire toast with burnt honey and sprinkle with crushed walnuts.

Step 8: Serve as needed.

 

 

 

 

Sub-Recipe Directions

Burnt Honey

Step 1: Add honey to a heavy-bottom saucepan.

Step 2: Cook over medium heat without stirring initially, honey will begin to bubble and foam.

Step 3: Continue cooking, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.

Step 4: Carefully remove from heat and slowly whisk in hot water, vinegar and salt.

Step 5: Allow to cool slightly and use as needed.
