Breakfast Smoked Sausage Biscuit Benedict

Griddled Hillshire Farm® Split Smoked Sausage topping a split fluffy buttermilk biscuit with melted Cheddar cheese. Covered in sausage gravy, topped with two strips of Jimmy Dean® Bacon, an egg and cheese sauce. Garnished with chives. 

Ingredients

Breakfast Smoked Sausage Biscuit Benedict Ingredients

1 each Buttermilk Biscuits 
2 slices Cheddar cheese, aged  
1 link Hillshire Farm® Split Smoked Sausage 
3 oz Sausage gravy 
1 each Poached egg 
1 oz Cheese sauce 
2 each Jimmy Dean® Bacon, crispy and flattened 
Pinch Chives, chopped 
Optional Splash of hot sauce 
Directions

Step 1

Split a baked buttermilk biscuit and top each half with a slice of Cheddar cheese. 

Step 2

Place the seared and split Hillshire Farm® Split Smoked Sausage side by side across the two biscuit halves, then drizzle the sausage gravy over the sausage.

Step 3

Top with two slices of bacon in a “X” form and a poached egg. Spoon cheese sauce over the poached egg.

Step 4

Garnish with a sprinkle of chives and a splash of hot sauce, if desired.
