Chipotle Chocolate Gravy

Step 1. Bake biscuit according to package instructions. Cook times will vary between equipment.
Step 2. Preheat convection oven to 375°F. Heat Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Pork Sausage Patties, 3.75”, 2.0 oz. in a single layer on a sheet tray 12-14 minutes, turning halfway through heating time.
Step 3. Split biscuit open and plate Jimmy Dean® Fully Cooked Pork Sausage Patties, 3.75”, 2.0 oz. on bottom piece.
Step 4. Smother with chipotle chocolate gravy and place biscuit top over gravy and serve warm.
Chipotle Chocolate Gravy
Step 1. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Sprinkle flour evenly over butter in the pan to avoid lumps and fold together to form a roux. Cook to a light brown color.
Step 2. Add milk and bring to a simmer, liquid will thicken.
Step 3. Add sugar, cocoa powder, chipotle puree, and vanilla. Bring to a simmer and hold hot for service.
