Western Steak Omelette Recipe

An easy steak and eggs dish: sautéed steak slices mixed with eggs, diced onions and peppers, plus cheddar and/or Jack cheese. Add mushrooms if that's your thing. Serve with (or on) toast. A few splashes of hot sauce just adds to the boldness.

1egg
2pieces Texas toast
Butteras needed

Step 2 - Place frozen portion of beef slices on a preheated flat grill (350°F).

Step 3 - After portion has cooked through about half its thickness, flip the portion once. As the beef slices begin to cook, separate them with a spatula and season to taste.

Step 4 - Beef should have an evenly brown appearance when completely cooked. Remove beef from the grill.

Step 5 - Sauté onion and pepper until tender. Remove from the grill.

Step 6 - Heat frying pan on medium-high heat. Slightly oil pan then add egg. Gently pull edges of egg to center of pan so uncooked egg can reach the hot surface.

Step 7 - Mix onion, pepper, parsley and beef slices.

Step 8 - Once egg is cooked all the way through, add mixture to one half of omelette, fold in half, chop up omelette then serve on top of Texas toast.

Step 9 - Drizzle hot sauce as desired.
