Philly Grilled Cheese Recipe

Serve up the ultimate comfort food with Philly inspiration. Golden brown buttery bread slices create the perfect container for flavorful sliced beef and a thick layer of hot, melted cheddar (sharp or mild, your choice). Add caramelized or pickled onion for an extra jolt of sweet.

MAIN INGREDIENTS

8 ozOriginal Philly® Beef Sandwich Slices 8 oz.
1 tbsp.neutral oil
4 tbsp.butter
 Mayonnaise
8 Slicesof soft sandwich bread
8 oz.shredded cheddar, or cheese of your choice.
Directions

Step 1 - Heat oil in a large nonstick pan over medium heat. Cook the steak in batches, about two minutes per side then separate slices into strips and pieces until fully cooked. Remove cooked steak and wipe the pan.

Step 2 - Heat 1 tablespoon butter in the same pan over medium-low.

Step 3 - Spread one side of each slice of bread with the remaining butter and the other with mayonnaise.

Step 4 - Place the bread mayonnaise side down on the pan and sprinkle cheese evenly on buttered sides, top with steak and turn heat to medium.

Step 5 - When cheese is beginning to melt, using a spatula, flip one slice on top of the other and gently press, flipping a few times until cheese is melted and bread is golden.
