Alsace Tart

Flaky pastry crust with chèvre (goat cheese) topped with sliced smoked turkey sausage with caramelized onions, sautéed pears and fresh parsley and thyme. Chefs Tips:  Apples can replace the pears in the recipe.

Ingredients

Serves: 4

Step 1

1           Pastry Crust Pie Crust

 

Step 2

3 ozs  Caramelized Onions

 

Step 3

4 ozs            HILLSHIRE FARM®Reduced Fat, Reduced Sodium, Endless Turkey Smoked Sausage, Fully Cooked
                              3 ozs                         
Fresh Pear
4 ozsGoat Cheese
1 tspBlack pepper

 

Step 4

1 tbsp                              Parsley                                                                                                    
1 tspThyme
Directions

Step 1

Par-bake the crust. Reserve.

 

Step 2

Cook and spread out the minced caramelized onions on bottom of tart.

 

Step 3

Distribute the sliced turkey sausage evenly atop the onions, then place the pears atop the sausage. Crumble the cheese over the top of the pears.

 

Step 4

Sprinkle the herbs over the top and lightly season with cracked black pepper.
