Jalapeno Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza

This spicy pepperoni pizza takes on a new shape with a 12" x 5" pizza crust, topped with a simple red sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, and thick, hearty slices of jalapeño pepperoni.

Step 1

1 each

12" x 16" sheeted dough 

1/2 oz

Light olive oil 

4 oz

Red pizza sauce, commerically prepared

4 oz

Pizza cheese blend, 80-part skim mozzarella cheese, shredded and 20-part Parmesan cheese, shredded 

1-1/2 oz

Sliced BONICI® Jalapeño Pepperoni

Step 1: Cover the dough tightly and slack in the refrigerator between 32° and 36°F prior to use.

Step 2: Cover the jalapeño pepperoni completely and slack in the refrigerator between 32° and 36°F prior to use.

Step 3: Cut the crust into 3 equal long rectangular shapes (each approx. 12" x 5"). Reserve 2 of the pieces covered tightly in cooler. Brush the remaining crust with olive oil just prior to assembling the pizza.

Step 4: To assemble each pizza: Spread 4 ounces of sauce evenly over crust. Top with 4 ounces of pizza cheese blend and 1½ ounces of pepperoni. Bake uncovered, on a lightly oiled pan dusted with cornmeal or on a mesh pizza screen, in a preheated conventional oven at 450°F for 6 to 8 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Step 5: Remove from oven and slice into 3 portions.

Step 6: Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper.
