Rosalie Duffy saved my life (I am Maureen Rice, by the way). I was having an issue. I was talking to Rosalie and out of nowhere I felt sick. I was in medical distress (I had a TIA Stoke) and she quickly jumped into action by calling the school nurse and 911, all while remaining calm.
Roe grabbed her co-worker 's purse jumped in the car and followed the ambulance to the hospital where she stayed for six hours to make sure her friend (me) and fellow team member was being treated and remaining in stable condition until family had arrived. Rosalie contacted my husband and our boss Christine Kunnmann.
Without Rosalie Duffy this Whitson’s team member would not be with us today. Heroes are people you see every day, with big hearts and excellent judgement. I am emotional writing this because minutes matter when you are having a stroke.
